This bronze pneumatic silencer is used to vent pressurized air to the atmosphere in a safe way. Through their design, they decrease the audible noise of vented pressurized air by increasing the surface area of the release of pressurized air. It has a connection port of R1" male threads to screw into a port. It can handle an ambient temperature of 5 - 60 °C and operating pressure 1mpa.
Depending on your usage, you should incorporate a silencer cleaning schedule into the system maintenance planning. Remove the silencer and rinse it under lukewarm tap water. Then use compressed air to blow away any remaining dirt particles. Do this from outside to inside instead of the usual inside to outside.

Working principle of cylinder silencer
Good noise reduction performance means that there is a sufficient amount of noise reduction within the generated noise frequency range. The following two sound reduction principles are introduced:
1) Absorption type, the compressed air passes through the porous sound absorbing material, and relies on the friction of the air flow to generate heat, so that the pressure energy of the gas is partially converted into heat energy, thereby reducing the exhaust noise. Absorption muffler has good performance of eliminating middle and high frequency noise. Generally, the noise can be reduced by more than 25 dB. Sound absorbing materials mostly use polyvinyl chloride fiber, glass fiber, sintered copper beads and so on.
2) Expansion interference type, the diameter of this muffler is larger than the exhaust bore. The air flow diffuses inside, collides and reflects, interferes with each other, weakens the noise intensity, and finally drains into the atmosphere from the porous shell with a large aperture. It is mainly used to eliminate medium and low frequency noise. Some of the gas discharged from the valve is led to the total exhaust pipe with a large enough inner diameter, the outlet of the total exhaust pipe can be installed exhaust cleaner, and the outlet of the exhaust pipe can be located outdoors or in the gutter to reduce the noise in the working environment, which is called the centralized exhaust method, this method uses the principle of expansion interference to reduce the noise.
